So long, JT

Yes, yes, Jason Taylor's gone to the Redskins. Everyone is all up in my grill about it.

Here's my take:

The hell with Jason Taylor.

I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Yes, I loved the guy for 11 seasons. Yes, he was awesome.

But after six of the lousiest years in the history of the Miami Dolphin franchise, seems to me this organization is finally about football now.

Not Hollywood. Not Dancing With the Stars. Football.

And JT isn't. Not anymore. I think when Parcells came in, he wanted JT to be the big-time leader on the team and help inspire. JT wasn't interested. OK, see ya.

Sure, he'll probably have a monster year. Sure, he'll probably make the Pro Bowl. Whatever.

Thanks to The Tuna coming on board, this Miami Dolphin organization is about nothing but football. If JT wanted to be part of it, he very easily could have. He could have worked out with his team. Not danced with the stars.

Jay Feidler. Cam Cameron. Dave Wannstedt. Ricky Williams. Dolts, all.

Considering what I have had recently, if it takes JT to be gone to actually achieve something, then so be it.

Thanks for the memories, #99.

Go Dolphins.
