Hi. It's me. The Leeman.
Yes, I knew you when you were Christie Austin.
Christie Christenson, not so much.
That's too funny.
Christie Christenson.
Like a TV Weathergirl.
Or one of Batman or Superman's girlfriends.
Lois Lane. Lana Lang. Vickie Vale. Christie Christenson.
I will see you soon. It will be soon as the smoke clears from my recent arrival. See below for some details.
There's always smoke when I arrive. So much smoke. Like I just said SHAZAM or something.
Until then, I really look forward to seeing you again.
You. Christie Christenson.
Cheers.
--- The Big Leeboski
P.S. - Christie Christenson could also be an adult film star's name, but I didn't want to mention it. Thanks.
Now you know it's really me. :)

LEEBO DID AMERICA: Thank yew very much
Since we last left, I left Rapid City after seeing the Crazy horse Memorial and Mt. Rushmore, I drove all the way from there to Kansas City, right in the middle of flash flooding, I saw a tornado off the interstate and bedded down in KC, I left there and dodged the rain down through Missioui, hooking a hard right and headed south toward Memphis and Graceland. I partied at Graceland and Beale Street and headed south through Mississippi to New Orleans, saw many gas stations underwater before I found on in time, hung a hard left on I-10 at New Orleans and headed to Florida, crashed in Pensacola, got home around 2pm, was hammered by 6pm.
And that's how it all went down. It was fun. I'll throw some more fun about the trip up later.
There's nothing like a 4,000 mile road trip from Vancouver to Florida make the world look bigger.
It's not all about me anymore.
It's about me and a buncha mountains.

LEEBO DOES AMERICA Day 4 and 5: My technology fails me
I have been trying to upload pics for two days, but my shitty wireless technology fails me.
I am sending daily posts to myself via e-mail, and will complete this journey on the blog when I arrive back in Florida.
I went to Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial yesterday. On 9/11, I was working behind Tampa International Airport and when they annouced on the radio that all air traffic in America was grounded, a plane was landing over my car on the tarmac at TIA by Hillsbourough Avenue.
If anyone had told me that 7 years later on 9/11, I would be at Mount Rushmore, I would have laughed in their face. The Crazy Horse memorial too. Both were unbelievable. I wish I could share the pics. But I can"t. Because my goddamn tech sucks.
I am currently dodging tornados in Kansas City, I'll be in Graceland tomorrow, hopefully.
I hope to be back home Tuesday/Wednesday.
In the meantime, fuck this wireless technology and anyone associated with it.

LEEBO DOES AMERICA DAY 2: Billings, Montana
Day 2 found a lot of driving, much like Day 1. It took me all day to drive through the panhandle of Idaho (which is beautiful) and Montana (which is also beautiful).
Montana is nice beacuse they label the mountains with an "M" so you know what you are looking at. A mountain. In Montana. Neat.I wish I had gotten a picture of the sign, but there is a little town in Montana that has something called the "Testicle Festival". I don't know what that is. If you are brave and want to know, click here.
LEEBO DOES AMERICA: Day 1, Spokane, WA
After much hassle, Leebo is back in America. The border guards were fun. I think they thought I was Osama Bin Leebo. But I am back. I drove across Washington state yesterday. Funny thing about Washington state: It's really beautiful as you are driving in the mountains, and then you drive into a lot of brown nothing. The damn state is barren. I drove 150 miles through jack and shit.
Stayed in Spokane last night and watched the ballgames at the lounge. They were playing a lot of Elvis. That's a good omen for my Graceland visit to come.
Got a lot of driving ahead. In the words of Steve McQueen, "let's go".

It's time for Leebo to go home...
Well, it's time for me to go back to America. This is my last full day in BC.Whether I take my cross country trip or jump on a plane will be dictated by events that are beyond my control.
Either way, I'm good. I'm going home.
I'll miss BC. This place, especially the incredibly good folk here I work and play with, have a special place in what's left of my heart. They have been good to me and are family. I love them and I'll miss them.
I know there's hurricanes coming toward Florida right now.
I know of one more.
Hurricane Leebo's comin' into town.
You Florida folk damn well better hunker down. Because I'm seriously kicking some party ass when I get back.
Theeka, baby.
Damn straight.

Leebo is THUNDERSTRUCK

What a great time The Big Leeboski had last night at the Coomodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
Went and saw an AC/DC tribute band, THUNDERSTRUCK and they brought the house down.
Opening for them was UNKNOWN SOLDIERS, a Doors tribute band, and they were very impressive.
Both band had the sound down. I was impressed. I've never been much for tribute bands, but I am re-evaluating my opinion. This was just flat out good rock n' roll. Raj and I had a blast.
And the Commodore is a great venue. a very old building with a lot of dank. I love the dank. And it also has my vote for stickiest floor of any venue I have been to as well. There were times I felt like I walking in bubble gum.
All in all, just a rockin' good time and a great capper to my BC trip this year.

Mount Baker Cam: From a few nights ago
THINGS I LOVE ABOUT BRITISH COLUMBIA: Sammy J. Peppers and Earl's

Earl's is a nice restaraunt. The one in Abbotsford is cool, pictured is the one in Vancouver. The girls (commonly known as the Ealrs Girls) are legendary. I have found many of them to be a little stuck up, though, a drawback to be sure. But for sheer, lurid, wretched, perverted ogling, Earl's can't be beat.
Sammy J's is right next to the Super 8, making the phrase "it's always great at the Super 8" much more relevant. The women in there are phenominal. However, last year they were very friendly, but this year, not so much. Don"t know why. I do know this, the friendliest one in there, Melissia from Argentina, is smokin' hot.
Unfortunately, after a few White Russsians (I was getting in touch with my inner Dude) I called her "Michelle". Not only did she NOT find that amusing, it convinced me that my obsession with Michelle at Applebee's in Florida is becoming somewhat unhealthy.
One more quick note: There must be something in the water in the Pacific Northwest, because I was not prepared for how beautiful the women are up here. Unbelieveable.
Theeka, baby.
