2008 Grudiron Champion. Again.

And the WINNER of the 2008 Grudiron matchup between me and Grudly Mandinko is.....

Well, what a suprise. It's me. ME. MEEEEEEE.

This places, for another year, the coveted and undisputed Grudiron Champion ship belt squarely when it belongs: around my georgous waist.

If the damn belt fit around my georgous waist, I mean. Consider it a New Years Resolution.

5 out of 6 years we have been here with Leebo in Victory Lane. The prize: dinner and drinks at the Winner's choice.

And the Winner is me. Me. ME. MEEEEEEE.

By 4 games. It was never that close.

Grud was up by a few games early, but like the cream The Leeman is, I rose to the top and layethed the smacketh down on Mike G's bottom-feeding prognosticating candy ass. (That's right. I called you Mike G. Ya gock.)

I don't know where I will make Mike G. (also known as "Tim") take me for dinner. The one lone time he won, he made me take him to Shula's.

I thought that was pretty damn cool until I got the bill.

45 dollars for the "Shula Cut". Two Shula Cuts and two beers each was over a hundred bucks.

I remember taking a dump the next morning and thinking "That was the Shula Cut".

45 bucks. Nothing left but a quick flush.

I won't hurt my dear friend like that. In fact, his recent actions indicate that I should really just have him take me to breakfast.

Waffles, anyone?

AFC EAST CHAMPS!!!!!!!

Wow.

What a great time to be a Miami Dolphin fan.

In one of the most incredible turnarounds in the history of sport, Your Miami Dolphins are AFC East CHAMPIONS.

From 1-15 to 11-5.

Wow.

They beat the Jets, in Chad Pennington's return to the city that kicked him to the curb for Brett "Wah" Farve.

Chad Pennington, I was wrong about you. I totally think you rock.

Ted Ginn, I was wrong about you too. Mike Guerdon said I would learn to love you. And I did. When you were making big plays against Mike Guerdon's Raiders. And you kept making big plays all year, to help us just win, baby.

Your Miami Dolphins beat the Jets in New York, knocked them and the Patriots out of the playoffs, and got the Jets head coach fired.

The playoffs begin, in Dolphins Stadium, Sunday at 1pm against the Ravens, the only team we beat last year. That game kept us from going 0-16. That honor is reserved this year for Detroit. Ha.

Last year, 1-15.

This year, 11-5, AFC East Champs, knocking the Jets and the Patsies out and getting the Jets head coach fired.

Wow.

What a great time to be a Miami Dolphin fan.

GO DOLPHINS!

My City Sucks.....

I was really looking forward to Frank Miller's THE SPIRIT.

I saw it Christmas Eve.

It's a C movie at best. I wanted to like it. I really did. Rarely have I anticipated a movie as much as this one.

The above scene is not only one of the dumbest goddamn scenes in the movie, but one of the dumbest goddamn scenes I have ever seen in a movie. Period.

There's a few of those in this movie.

THE SPIRIT is not a complete waste. It looks beautiful. And you get to see Eva Mendes' bare ass. It looks beautiful too.

Samuel J. Jackson is all over the road in this movie. There's a line in this movie where he's wearing a Nazi uniform and saying something is "deader than Star Trek".

The scene is so bad that it made me want to watch "Plato's Stepchildren", arguablely the worst episode of Star Trek ever. Because as bad as "Plato's Stepchildren" is, it is still better than that scene from THE SPIRIT.

Samuel J. Jackson trying to be funny with terrible dialogue while wearing a Nazi uniform, or William Shatner with a midget on his back pretending to be a horse. From an entertainment standpoint, it's a tough call.

All the actors were good with what they had to work with. But.... something is missing.

Something is missing from this movie. And I think it's The Spirit.

I need to see it again to find out what went wrong.

I need to see it again.

On DVD.

Merry Christmas From The Leebo Show

It's Christmas Eve. I just rolled outta bed. I actually have the day off from Strawberry Hell.

Haven't been on the blog much because I've been working and trying to get X-Mas done. I'm grateful for the day off. I have just a tad o' shopping and then a busy day ahead of gettin' 'er done.

I have nothing to say except I wish everyone a very cool yule and go your 10-5 Dolphins.

Merry Chrismas, everyone.

All dogs go to Heaven.

We lost another friend today. A dear friend, especially of my dear friend Bajensi Mom.

Snoopy was a good boy.

His marker is here.

So long, good friend.

I will always love you, Bettie Page!!!

1950's ICON Bettie Page died today.

Some people thought she was a harlot.

To me, and millions of others, she was a starlet.

She will live long past her detractors and she will be forever young.

You can't ask for much more than that out of life.

Farewell, Bettie.

Leebo will always love you.

Goodbye Windy City Pizza...

It is with great sadness I inform the blogosphere that Windy City Pizza in Tampa is no more.

For 20 years, Tampa was the beneficiary of Windy City pie. I loved it. It was good pie. Flat crust, Chicago style pie. And it was Chicago style too. I've been to Chi-town, I know the damn deal.

Flat crust, spicy and cut into squares. Fraggin' A. I'll miss you Windy City.

This now begins the great pizza search. Me and Citizen Frisky will be on the case. Any suggestions will be entertained.

I'm told that there is a pizza place in A-Dale, The Pizza Connection, that uses the same recipe as the old J Burns pie. Anyone that grew up in my era in town remembers J Burns. Windy City was a lot like J Burns.

One day I'll find it, the Pizza Connection... J Burns, Windy City... and meeeeeeee.

Manic depression is catching my soul…

Not a great week.

I haven’t been on here much this week. It hasn’t been a great week. See previous sentence.

It seems a lot of the energy I have toward things has either been stifled or just drained. Every time I feel creative, someone or something kicks me in the nuts.

Above this blog will be some depressing things. It is my goal to turn this negativity around, as it is not acceptable to my standard of existence.

YOUR FLORIDA GATORS ARE SEC CHAMPS

(Figure 12-1, Tim Tebow says CHOMP, CHOMP.)

Nick Saban, meet Karma.

Not long ago, Nick Saban screwed the Miami Dolphins. He lied to them, he lied to his coaches, he lied to the media. He showed himself to be a man of very little integrity. This really shouldn't have suprised anyone, as he is good friends with that cheating ass coach of the Patriots.

Nick Saban has earned his bad reputation, from hosing the Dolphins (and yes, we're better off without him), to hosing Michigan State, back in the day.

There's a story that when Saban left Michigan State for LSU, he sent a plane back to Michigan and told his coaches that if any one of them wanted to follow him to LSU, they could. The plane returned to Louisiana empty. I don't know if it's true, but this is the guy who said he would NOT be coaching the Tide when he was with the Phins and then bolted to Bama and informed his coaching staff in Miami by fax. So, it seems within the confines of reality.

The career of Nick Saban is littered with folks he's lied to and stepped on. Today, a huge foot stepped on him. And that foot was named Tim Tebow.

The game lived up to it's hype. And in the end, The Florida Gators layethed the smacketh down on Nick Saban's candy-ass.

I work with a guy who speaks kind of broken English. I was tailgating with the PT, watching the game at my Company X-Mas party, on the blueberry farm. This guy walked up to me, when the Gators were losing the game, and he said "Oooooo... the Alligators are losing..." I about lost it laughing.

But they weren't losing at the end of this game.

I love the Gators. And them winning the SEC Championship is quite grand. But it pales in comparison to watching them kick Nick Saban in the crotch.

Tonight, Gator Nation and Dolphin Nation combine and rejoice. And I am there. And I am loving it.

Karma, meet Nick Saban.

And Karma's name is Tim Tebow.

Kick ass.

Get bent, Nick Saban. The loss you feel is Ambrosia to all Dolphin and Gator fans. YOU ABSOLUTELY SUCK.

And Go Alligators!

(Figure 00 - Human Turd Nick Saban dejectedly walks from the field and is probably thinking of screwing the Tide over now. He's a dick.)
