Dear Mr. Clapton
Dear Mr. Clapton,
Everything looks good for our 15th reunion in less than 2 weeks. My Dad's health is good and I have accumilated enough hours to take some time off from work to take the trip to Miami. My very good friend, Mike Guerdon, and I shall be honored (again) to witness your virtuoso playing, loving it and wishing we could have lunch with you.
I am hopefull that the next several days are uneventful, because, to be frank, if something happened to sidetrack my participation in the event, I selfishly admit I would be emotionally crushed. Seeing as I have been emotionally crushed for some time now, it might look like par, but I assure you, I have no more wish to add upon the pile of regret that is my life.
I am so in need of this break, and I am so looking forward to being in the same room as my two favorite people: you and Mike Guerdon. And I look forward to forgetting at least one of you. (HINT: not you.)
Eric, this will be the 15th time I have seen you, a streak that began in 1983. I am so gratetful to have had your music permeate trough the highs and lows of what I laughingly call my life.
There have been times when it has gotten me through some hardship. There still is. Thank you for your tremendous contribution to the soundtrack of my life, and thank you for introducing me to the Great Truth that is the blues.
You will always be my favorite musician except on Elvis' brithday and whenever I am in Memphis. I think you understand.
Looking forward to it. Peace.
Yer pal,
----- Leebo
P.S. - Don't meet me. I would read your mail.
